At Bell Stainless balustrades are welded together, and constructed from 316 (marine) grade stainless steel by default, whether they’re for interior or exterior use. This ensures a very long life for your balustrade, even in harsh environments.

There are 4 areas to consider when designing either an interior or exterior balustrade
1. Top rail - Oval tube, round tube, flat bar, timber, etc
2. Posts - Square tube, round tube, flat bar, etc
3. Infills - Wire, solid rod, glass, etc
4. Fixings - Square plate, round plate with or without cover, concealed fixings, etc

7 - External - commercial streetscape - Bulcock Beach redevelopment
Top and bottom rails: heavy wall round tube
Posts: heavy wall rectangular hollow section (hand sanded to 1200 grit & polished for high tea stain resistance)
Infills: 8mm wire with tamper-resistant fittings, horizontal (supplied and installed by others)
Fixings: 16mm threaded rod fixed into concrete, or 12mm coach screws into timber. All with welded dome nuts
