About us

Bell Stainless is based on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

We specialise in the fabrication of assets for residential and commercial applications. The materials we typically work with are:

Stainless steel - stainless has been around since the early 1900s, just over 100 years. It's an iron alloy, with at least 10.5% chromium. It can also contain carbon, silicon and mangenese. There are many different grades of stainless steel, some contain nickel or molybdenum.

We work with 2 of the most common grades of stainless:

304 (a.k.a. kitchen grade) stainless, sometimes referred to as 18/10, and

316 (a.k.a. marine grade) stainless.

Brass - our Bell Stainless | Brassworx website has lots of interesting things to learn about our work with this ancient metal.

Brass was first introduced around 500 BC. It's made from an alloy of copper and zinc.

Copper - our Bell Stainless | Copperworx website also has lots of interesting information - not only how we work with it, but also how it's being used in the fight against illnesses like COVID-19.

Copper was actually one of the first metals to be used by people, the earliest known artifacts are nearly 10,000 years old. Unlike stainless steel and brass it occurs naturally in a relatively pure form.
